Here is my take on the law escort fee for funerals. I agree there should be a fee, just not as much as proposed. It was stated that it takes deputies away from their patrol. If this is the case the school board has to be charged for the traffic control before and after school, because we have more schools in this county than SROs to handle this task so that takes deputies away from their patrol. ...

FAC to hold ‘Snow White’ auditions Sunday, Monday

Auditions for Snow White, a collaboration with the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County and Columbia Children's Theatre, will be held Jan. 16 and 17 in the Wood Auditorium at the FAC from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Snow White will be directed by Jerry Stevenson, artistic director of the Columbia Children's Theatre. All children ages 6 and up are encouraged to come and participate. There is no audition fee.

A graveside funeral service to celebrate the life of Sadie Hinson Bradley, 77, of Camden will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Emanuel Baptist church Cemetery. Rev. Dating success not equal in open-marriage
