Governor has no class

Governor Haley knew over two weeks ago that someone still unknown had hacked into the computers at the South Carolina Department of Revenue and that the personal information of approximately 3.6 million taxpayers had been compromised. She finally decided to tell those taxpayers last Friday afternoon, the time when all bad news is dumped.

County man sentenced in molestation case

A circuit court judge sentenced a county man, 33-year-old Danny Shawn Johnson II, to 16 years in prison for committing a lewd act on a 9-year-old girl. Circuit Court Judge L. Casey Manning handed down the sentence Wednesday.

Colonial Cup 10k/5k races set for Nov. 10

The 18th annual Marion DuPont Scott Colonial Cup 10K Road Race and BlueCross BlueShield 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site, to benefit those receiving services from the Kershaw County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs.

Pickens rallies to end Lady Bulldogs’ season

As if they could not have felt any worse after a third round exit from the AAA Upper State volleyball tournament in Pickens on Monday, Camden has salt applied to its wounds when it learned that Region 4-AAA runner-up Chapin knocked off top-ranked Daniel in a match played just up the road.
