ATEC middle school camp set for June 1-2

Middle school students looking for something fun to do this summer will have an opportunity June 1 and 2 as the Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC) hosts its annual summer camp. The camp will give students in grades 6 through 8 the opportunity to spend time exploring a variety of ATEC programs and create projects to take home with them at the end of the two-day event.

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Thelma J. Mahoney Carter, 92, will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Bruce Hancock and the Rev. Everett Recconu will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Lugoff Garden club to meet today

Lugoff Garden Club's speaker for today's meeting will be John Mowbray. The meeting will be held at Mr. & Mrs. John Mowbray's home on Quail Lane. John has grown a vegetable garden for the past 41 years and his family eats fresh vegetables all summer sharing with friends, family, and neighbors. The remainder of the vegetables from their garden are frozen or canned to enjoy the rest of the year.
