The game was a beat-down of epic proportions. It was actually close at the beginning, both teams knotted at a touchdown, but the wheels of my team soon began to lose their grip from the proverbial axle. I would not say that the wheels "fell off" necessarily. This would imply that they simply came loose and rested in place. Practice fire safety during the holiday season

As the holiday season approaches, there is an increased excitement about adorning our homes with the traditional decorations of Christmas trees, ornaments and garlands. Holiday decorations, as beautiful as they are, can also be an added home fire hazard. Statistics provided by the National Fire Protection Association reveal that a candle fire in the home is reported to a fire department every 30 minutes and each year, fire departments respond to roughly 260 structure fires caused by Christmas trees.

Mummy, dearest

Sixth-grade students at Camden Middle School recently enjoyed Mummy Day, the culmination of an Ancient Egyptian unit. Students spent the day engaged in Egyptian activities across the curriculum. They mummified chicken drummettes, made life-sized sarcophagi, created pyramids, virtually mummified a pharaoh and played Ancient Egyptian games. Here, students Avery Barnes and Zoe Smothers use a triple beam balance to mass their chicken drummette before the mummification process.
