Nephew causes strained family relations

Dear Annie: I don't have the best relationship with my nephew, "Bob." He has asked for a number of favors from me in the past and has gotten very nasty when things didn't go his way. He has also bragged about abusing people and pets, and he enjoys making people angry, violating laws and bucking authority.

CHS student named National Merit Scholarship finalist

Camden High School (CHS) student Aly Bolin is one of 172 South Carolina seniors to be named a semifinalist in the 56th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. She was among 16,000 students to achieve the ranking nationwide and the only student selected in Kershaw County, according to officials at the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Camden's Richard headlines Thunder Tower MMA card

Camden-based Gladiators Boxing and MMA are teaming up with Thunder Tower Harley-Davidson to present,"Rumble at Thunder Tower," on Saturday, Oct. 23 starting at 6:30 p.m. The 10-bout professional card, which will take place inside the cage, will feature Camden professional powerhouse Big John Richard in the main, heavyweight event. The co-main event will have 2004 Athens Summer Olympic Games Silver Medalist in wrestling, Sara McMann, and light heavyweight sensation Trey Moss stepping into the cage.
