Race not a factor in sports facility debate

I have been neutral in the YMCA debate and I'm trying to stay that way. There are merits on both sides (we think), but when a member of Camden City Council pulls the race card, I will not be quiet. This planned or unplanned sports complex has nothing to do with race. It is insulting that a member of city council could even bring race into the debate.

A hiding place

Life often becomes so hectic that an individual would like to hide. Walt Disney's movie gave a hint with the lyrics "Everybody needs a laughing place to go, ho, ho." If someone can have a laughing place, he certainly needs a hiding place when no laughter exists. Such a place is possible. Ethel Jenkins Bostick

Mrs. Ethel Jenkins Bostick, 63, of 5505 Pisgah Road, Rembert, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 3, 2012. Born in Rembert, she was the daughter of the late Moses "Sonny" and Elease Griffin "Sis" Jenkins and the wife of Joseph Bostick. Funeral services will be held Wedesnday at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, Rembert, with burial in church cemetery. Mrs. Bostick will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. for viewing. Brown's Funeral Home, Camden, is serving the Bostick family.
