CHS honors 1958 state champions

Camden High School will honor its 1958 AA state championship baseball team on the 55th anniversary of that team's achievement during the break in the third inning of tonight's home game with Dreher.

Geneva Hall

A funeral service celebrating the life of Geneva Smith Hall, 53, of Camden, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Wateree Baptist Church in Camden. Rev. Bobby James and Rev. Bill Dulaney will officiate. Burial will follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 PM on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Marlene Tolleson

Marlene Joy Hancock Tolleson, of Lugoff, SC died April 8, 2013. She was 69 years old. Marlene was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Shapmire Hancock. She lived in Thornton, IL and was a former nurse at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL. She moved with the family to Camden, SC in June 1978. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Walter M. Rabies vaccination clinic set for Saturday

A rabies clinic will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Salt Pond Farm & Garden, 2487 Springvale Road, in Kershaw County. The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is partnering with participating veterinarians across the state to help residents protect their pets and themselves against rabies, the agency announced today. Local veterinarian Hamilton Tetterton will offer Saturday's clinic.
