RMHC sporting clays tourney set for Saturday

Lugoff-Elgin Middle School (L-EMS) held their annual 8th grade science fair on March 12. Projects were put in categories such as Behavioral and Social Sciences and Botany. The winners this year are as listed.

Recreation Department Easter egg hunts success

The Kershaw County Recreation Department hosted three Easter egg hunts across the county. A total of 4,000 eggs were hidden in Lugoff at Conifer Acres, at the Recreation Department office in Camden and at the Bethune Recreation Center in Bethune. According to Program Director, Amy Peebles, there was a decent crowd at each location.

Local student earned Eagle Scout award

Omar Donovan Mingo, a sophomore at Camden High School (CHS), earned the prestigious award of Eagle Scout on November 1. The Eagle Scout award is the highest ranking in the Boy Scouts of America with less than 6% of all scouts reaching this level.
