Lake Wateree cleanup scheduled for Oct. 11

The Lake Wateree Association (LWA, Kershaw County) and Wateree Home Owners Association (WHOA, Fairfield County) and other volunteers will lead a cleanup of Lake Wateree on Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cleanup will cover the entire lake, running out of two sites: Clearwater Marina and Taylor Creek Access.

Funeral Mass for Armando Gonzalez Jr., 23, will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev.
