Dice and Heath are looking for homes

Among the animals available for adoption at the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter are Dice, a 2-year-old neutered male Dachshund Shetland Sheepdog mix and Heath, an 8-week-old male Domestic Short Hair. The adoption donation includes spaying or neutering. KCSO arrests two for auto break-ins

Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) investigators arrested two men for allegedly breaking into several vehicles parked at Cassatt Water Co. The two men also allegedly stole gas from Cassatt Water Co. vehicles as well as tools.

Turn old CMS into park

So after having to look at the old Camden Middle School (CMS) property on Laurens Street for a couple of years, it is finally torn down. At least two plans were brought forth to build upscale houses there and add to the neighborhood, but those ideas were shot down by the residents.

We can thank William Penn of colonial Pennsylvania fame for the plan of Camden! By the time that Joseph Kershaw moved to this area in 1758, Philadelphia, Pa., was three quarters of a century old.
