Funeral Mass for Johanna DiLeo Costello, 89, will be celebrated on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Father Paul Brenninkmeijer will officiate. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The S.C. Foster Parent Association (SCFPA) would like to thank everyone who donated vehicles to its On the Road Again program. This program provides transportation for foster youth who are 18, but not yet 21, actively employed and pursuing a GED or post-high school educational program. Without a vehicle, young people must rely on public transportation to get them to and from work or school. Unfortunately, public transportation is not available in many rural areas of South Carolina.

Since 2011, First Baptist Church (FBC) of Camden has sent 56 Kershaw County residents on 19 mission teams to Machachi, Ecuador. Some of them have been to the South American city multiple times. Those participating in FBC's missions there say the trips are having a lasting impact, not only in Machachi -- located some 25 miles south of Ecuador's capital, Quito -- but back in Camden as well.
Mr. Donnell J. "Smelly" Brown, 45, of 608 Conway Circle, Camden, SC, passed on Thursday November 7, 2013.
Mr. Joe L. Gaskins, 77, of Ridgeway, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. Born in Camden, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Willie, Sr. and Lula Butler Gaskins and the husband of hannah Kirkland Gaskins. A Celebration of Life and Homegoing Services will be held Monday, November 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Rock Hill Baptist Church, Ridgeway, with interment in the church cemetery with military honors. Mr. Gaskins will be placed in the church at 12 p.m. for viewing. Brown's Funeral Home, Camden, is serving the Gaskins family.
Frances Arant Miller of Camden and Robert Morrow Goodwin of Hartsville were married at Bethesda Presbyterian Church on July 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. Reverend John Hallman was the officiating clergyman in the traditional double-ring ceremony.

Starting Nov. 16 and running through Nov. 23, the Artist's Attic studio and gallery will be open each day until 8 p.m. The Artist's Attic is located at 930 Broad St., in downtown Camden.
