CAMDEN – A Celebration of Life Service for Michael Roger Rush, 56, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Camden. The Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacks of Love Kershaw Baptist Association, 14 East DeKalb Street, Camden, SC 29020.

CHS ’83 grad retires from Air Force

Air Force Col. Charles Houston Myers, son of Charles and Barbara Myers of Camden, recently retired from active military service with more than 26 years dedicated to the nation. Brig. Gen. Albert "Buck" Elton presided over Myers' retirement ceremony at Hurlburt Field, Fla. Myers is a 1983 graduate of Camden High School and a 1987 graduate of The Citadel.

Nester is a member of the Quilters of Kershaw County, an affiliate member of the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County. She is married to local artist, member and past president of Camden ART (formerly the Camden Art Association) Edward Nester.
