After reviewing the manner in which I was quoted in the Rock Hill Road Trip article in the May 5th issue of the C-I, I need to clarify my comments. First, let me say that I oppose the notion of the City taking a go-it-alone position on the operation of a sports complex. I support City-County dialogue and recreational cooperation.
What could be more American than encouraging a robust debate on one of the most controversial issues of the day? The answer -- for some on the left, anyway -- is: lie about your opponents and make a pathetic effort to discredit them.

Annie Lee Taylor Bradley, 74, of West Columbia, died Saturday, May 5, 2012. Born in Camden, SC, September 26, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Randall N. and Nettie E. Taylor. Annie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who was known for her sweet smile and sacrificial service to others. She was a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia.
