Funeral services celebrating the life of Barbara Ann Steen Price, 69, of Bishopville, will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 14, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Dave Robinson and Rev. Alvin Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made in Barbara Ann's memory to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gail Kirkland, 647 Lachicotte Rd., Lugoff, SC 29078.

While we didn't hear of any particular instances this Independence Day, we did hear of one local "star" who did their hometown proud: 12-year-old Louisa DeLoach.
