Bethune man killed when ATV strikes deer

An ATV driver, Jessie Darnell Reeves, 26, of Bethune, was killed in a crash early Sunday morning after swerving and crashing his ATV into a deer, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol. Troopers said the 2003 Suzuki ATV was traveling east toward SC 346.

• We're seeing some good business and other news here in Kershaw County, showing signs that, perhaps, the community is beginning to climb out of the economic doldrums that have plagued us for too long now. Fatal collision ties up traffic on I-20 Friday

Westbound I-20 traffic was stop and go for several hours Friday after a one-car crash near mile marker 96 took the life of Lisa Marie Munn, 25, of Camden. The S.C. Highway Patrol reported Munn drove a 2007 Honda Acura onto the median between the westbound and eastbound lanes and struck a "low boy" trailer the patrol said was legally parked. The patrol reported Munn was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated and was dead at the scene.
