WASHINGTON -- You know the feeling. You wake up filled with dread but, still groggy, you can't put your finger on the reason.
On Saturday from 11 a.m. until noon, Historic Camden will host Earth Day. The event is for ages 6-12, parents and grandparents. Participants, weather permitting, will enjoy the outdoors by learning about an early American naturalist and walking the Nature Trail.
Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m., the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) will host the Camden Music Association's (CMA) annual Instrumental Showcase in the Wood Auditorium.
The L-EHS Faculty and Staff will hold its annual spring reunion at 6 p.m. on April 25 at Hall's Restaurant in Lugoff. The group picture will be taken before the meal. The meal will be $10 a person.
A celebration of life service for Joyce F. Humphrey will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Camden with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery in Lucknow, S.C. The Rev. David Snodgrass and the Rev. Brian Ogburn will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
Services for Jack Nelson McIntosh, 83, will be held at a later date.
The inaugural Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter Golf Tournament, a fundraiser for the facility, will be held on Sunday, May 19 at the White Pines Golf Club in Camden.
