Funeral services for Ada Jackson Caudill, 89, will be held today, February 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Emmerson Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon's International, Lugoff Camp at P.O. Box 664, Lugoff, S.C. 29078.

Eagle Scout celebration

Zack Maxwell Watson (back row, fifth from left), son of Beth Ford of Camden and Duncan Watson of Houston, Texas, earned his Eagle Scout rank on Dec. 20, 2014, at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church (LSUMC). Zack is currently a freshman at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. He is a member of Troop 303 at LSUMC, part of the Indian Waters Council of South Carolina. CHS state champs returning to the court

Camden High School will host a "5 on 5 from 10 to 10" basketball marathon to be played on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. inside the school's Gym. School clubs will play on a rotating basis throughout the day. The event will conclude with an alumni game at 7 p.m. featuring members of Bulldogs' 2008-09 AAA state championship team.
