Cline, 72, of Lugoff were held Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Lugoff Christian Ministries with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family received friends, Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. The Reverends Reece and Ann Byrd officiated. • Fie on those who are criticizing First Lady Michelle Obama because she served pizza, sausages and Buffalo wings at the White House Super Bowl viewing. Mrs. Obama has been spearheading an effort to get Americans to eat more healthful fare, but she's right in saying that it isn't an all-or-nothing proposition. People can adopt better diets without completely eliminating those "fun" foods that almost everyone likes. Carping critics need to pipe down.

KCSO seizes 44 marijuana plants from Elgin residence

During the early morning hours of Feb. 13, Kershaw County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at 128 Sheffield Rd. Elgin, and discovered a fully operational indoor marijuana grow. According to Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews, his officers seized 44 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. According to one of the defendants, at full maturity these marijuana plants would have an estimated value of $132,000. Deputies also seized approximately $10,000 worth of indoor grow equipment.
