Kershaw County Council will appoint three new members to the KershawHealth Board of Trustees at Tuesday's meeting. At a special Sept. 3 work session, council interviewed 12 of the 13 remaining candidates. The last candidate was not present, but provided written answers to council's questions.
Of the original 20 applicants for three slots on the KershawHealth Board of Trustees, 13 remain. Twelve of the applicants met with Kershaw County Council during a work session Tuesday. One, Roy Fakoury of DeKalb Township, did not appear but submitted a written application and responses to council's questions.

The town of Boykin will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its annual Christmas parade at 2 p.m. Dec. 15. Kershaw County citizens who are currently coaching teams through the county's recreation department can now serve on the county's Recreation Advisory Commission.
