KCSD could maintain own bus system

Benefit to help Pathway ministry reach at-risk children

Elgin woman alleges pen pal won’t pay up

An Elgin woman's internet "pen pal" has failed to repay $660. The Elgin woman told Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) deputies that her long-term Kentucky pen pal told her that she was behind in bills, that she had a large sum of medical bills, and "how bad her life was." The Elgin woman sent her pen pal the money through mail, and requested a note listing when the woman would pay her back. The letter sent said the Kentucky woman would send her the money on June 14th, but has failed to repay the money.
