Boykin Road to be closed today through Aug. 31

The S.C. Department of Transportation ( SCDOT) will close the entire length of Boykin Road to through traffic beginning today at 7:30 a.m. The road will remain closed through 5 p.m. Aug. 31.

KCSO charges three in auto break-ins, thefts

The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) is among multiple agencies charging two men and a juvenile with dozens of automobile break-ins and thefts throughout the state. In Kershaw County, the trio is suspected of being involved in a total of 33 vehicle break-ins and the theft of two vehicles.

Spring Valley doubles up on Dogs

Betty and Larry Slade of Camden are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage on May 11, 1968, at the First Baptist Church of Camden by Pastor Jim Cloninger. They have been blessed with two children: Robert Slade and his wife, Elizabeth Lamp Slade; and Laurie Slade Funderburk and her husband Harold Williams (Bill) Funderburk Jr.; and four grandchildren, Slade Horton Funderburk, Jonathan Russell Slade, Matthew Thomas Slade, and Burch Hough Funderburk.
