Camden, L-E play in Forest Acres Classic

The Camden and Lugoff-Elgin baseball teams will participate in this week's Forest Acres Classic, to be held at A.C. Flora High School's Falcon Field, beginning Tuesday and continuing through Friday.

Ever the gentleman and sportsman, Camden's Dr. Paul Joseph Sr. was ready to congratulate one of his two playing partners, Al Underwood and Larry Conger, when the three golfers made their way onto the green at the eighth hole at the Camden Country Club last Monday to get what was an apparent hole-in-one ball.

D-Block is D-best, again

D-Block completed a 12-0 season to win the Kershaw County Recreation Department men's open league basketball championship. The team has now won 24 straight games in the open league over the course of the past season season. The two youngsters pictured on the front row are Jamarion Hopkin and his sister, Zion Hopkin.
