17ers’ state tourney path drowns in a Murells Inlet

When you look at the scorebook, it will read that Kershaw County's hopes of a second consecutive trip to the South Carolina American Legion state baseball tournament started going up in smoke when visiting Murrells Inlet scored seven runs in the top of the third inning of Friday's game and held on for an 11-8 victory.
