Hearing that his cousin was going to buy a catamaran and go sailing, Mac McCallum got caught up in the excitement and bought his own multi-hull sailboat. Turns out, he did not have a sailing partner as his cousin backed out on his end of the deal.
Using its depth and several strong individual performances, the Lugoff-Elgin boys' track team pinned a 136-97 defeat on rival Camden in a meet hosted by Camden High School recently which also included Great Falls and McBee.
Bryan Jones scored two first half goals and that would be more than enough for the Camden High soccer team and goalkeeper Richard White who shut out Camden Military Academy, 5-0, in a Monday night match played at Zemp Stadium.
North Central High School will host a 3-on-3 co-ed volleyball tournament on Saturday, March 1 to held raise funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a charitable foundation aimed at conquering various forms of childhood cancers, as well as for the NCHS Shield yearbook.
