The James Leroy Belk Post 17 Kershaw County Senior and Junior American Legion baseball teams will both begin tryouts for the 2011 summer season on Monday, May 9 at 6 p.m. at American Legion Park on Ehrenclou Drive in Camden.
The North Central baseball and softball teams will hosts state tournament eliminations game today while the Lugoff-Elgin girls will need to win on the road in order to advance in post-season play.
Camden sent its seniors out with a bang in their final regular season home contest with a 9-0 victory over county rival Lugoff-Elgin in a girls soccer match played Thursday at Zemp Stadium.

Bolstered by a pair of wins in their final two regular season games, the North Central baseball team will enter next week's class A state tournament with a full head of steam.
