Having already locked down second place in the League IV American Legion baseball race, Lexington forfeited Tuesday night's scheduled road game against Kershaw County Post 17. The contest was to have been the final league contest for both teams.
As he and his team got off the bus for Monday night's game at Lexington, Kershaw County American Legion head coach Craig Smith saw and heard the athletic director of the host team giving members of the Post 7 squad a talk on sportsmanship.
Trying to juggle a pitching staff which was asked to do more than usual during a four-game slate of games last week, Kershaw County Post 17 American Legion head coach Craig Smith and pitching coach Jeremy Ray put Colin Teague to the test on Monday night.
