For the second time in as many seasons, Mother Nature threw a wrench into the fall high school sports seasons in Kershaw County. Only this time, the South Carolina High School League stepped in to help level the playing field for those schools affected by the weather.
Tuesday: Irmo at Camden (G – 4 p.m.); Sumter at Lugoff-Elgin (G – 4:30 p.m.); Lugoff-Elgin at Hartsville (TEN – 5 p.m.); Great Falls, Camden Military Academy at North Central (XC – 5 p.m.); North Central at Cheraw (VB – 6:30 p.m.)

As his team gathered in the end zone for their pre-game entrance, North Central head football coach Louis Clyburn said, to no one in particular, that the first series of Friday's game with visiting Camden would go a long way toward telling what kind of night it would be the hosts.
