The first "True Dog and Pony Show" was held at the South Carolina Equine Park on Saturday, June 2. The weather was perfect and everywhere you looked there was an adorable dog or an amazing horse. The food was delicious, many cool vendors participated and a good time was had by all who came out to support the building and renovation of the new Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Kids ages 6 to 12, parents and grandparents, come meet Walks With Horses (WWH) and her miniature horse, Great Heart, who often is commercially photographed with kids. WWH will tell about the life of the war pony. She will teach participants about some of the Native American symbols. Kids will get to tell their own stories by choosing and coloring symbols on the take-home horse drawings provided. They will also hear Native American stories about how the rabbit got long ears, the bear got a short tail and others.
