Mary Lizzie Stokes Davis, 79, went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, August 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with Parkinsons disease. She was the daughter of the late Willie Clifford and Bertha Deas Stokes and was predeceased by her husband, C. Loyce Davis.

A native of South Carolina and resident of Baker, LA for the last 50 years, he passed away on July 30, 2012 at Grace Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was 80. He was retired from Local Union 406 of Operating Engineers. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Baker.

Carl R. Fowler, 91, die Sunday August 12 at Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville, SC. Carl was born in Camden, SC and moved to Plainfield, NJ and lived for over 45 years. He retired and then return to his hometown of Camden. He was the oldest member of the Gordon Street Church of God.
