Barrie "Sarge" Patrick Winch, 67, of Camden, passed this life on June 17, 2011 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on November 28, 1943 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada to Roy and Irene Winch. He married Laura Jane Chapman of Lancaster, South Carolina on September 20, 1964. Barrie joined the U.S. Army in January 1960 and served two tours in Vietnam where he was awarded three Bronze Star Medals and numerous other awards and decorations.
