She was born in Marietta, Georgia on May 7, 1919 to Edgar Oliver and Beth Coe McMahan. Mrs. Williams grew up in Sanford, N.C., graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. and taught school in Waynesboro, Va. She married Clyde Irwin Williams on August 1, 1942. Betty Lou served in the American Red Cross in World War II.

Willis U. Arthur, Jr., formerly of Camden, SC passed away April 27, 2013. He was born November 13, 1925, in Aiken, SC to Willis Uriah Arthur, Sr. and Iva Lee Redd Taylor Arthur as the youngest of eleven siblings. After serving in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, Willis graduated from the University of SC with a mechanical engineering degree. He spent his entire career with DuPont starting at the Savannah River Plant in Aiken and then the May Plant in Camden.
