Sis Black passed away peacefully with family members at her side on April 4, 2013 in Annapolis, Md. She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT., on December 18, 1923, the daughter of the late David Royal and Hazel Ramage Warden. She was raised in Bluefield, W. VA. and graduated from Beaver High School, where she was an excellent academic student, class leader, and athlete. Willis U. Arthur, Jr., formerly of Camden, SC passed away April 27, 2013. He was born November 13, 1925, in Aiken, SC to Willis Uriah Arthur, Sr. and Iva Lee Redd Taylor Arthur as the youngest of eleven siblings. After serving in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, Willis graduated from the University of SC with a mechanical engineering degree. He spent his entire career with DuPont starting at the Savannah River Plant in Aiken and then the May Plant in Camden.

Mr. A. Jesse Payne, 82, of Kershaw passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Providence Hospital in Columbia. He was born November 18, 1930 in Kershaw, a son of the late Teddy Payne and Minnie Lee Ellis Payne. Mr. Payne was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church and had retired in 1992 from DuPont. He had been a Butcher at Shealy's in Camden and Hatfields in Kershaw. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran and was a Mason and Shriner.
Clarence Sloat "Chick" Rowland, Jr., 93, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013 at his home in Camden, SC. Born in Long Branch, NJ, Clarence was the oldest of seven children born to the late Clarence Sloat Rowland, Sr. and Mabel Raichle Rowland.
