On Friday, April 5, 2013, Mrs.Bessie D. English slipped peacefully into the arms of her loving Savior. She was 94. Mrs. English was born September 29, 1918 in New York City, but lived most of her early years in Franklin, Virginia. She was the daughter of Sr. Lieutenant Clyde Hudson and Bessie May Dougherty and the wife of Matthew D. "Jim" English.
