Joyce A. Maley, Captain, U.S. Air Force (Retired), Elgin, SC, passed away on August 1, 2012. She was born in Iowa on June 5, 1952 to the late Leonard and Cleo Maley and grew up in Modesto, CA. Joyce joined the U.S. Air Force in 1977 as a member of the Air Force band and retired in 1997. After retirement, she lived in Elgin where she bred Chinook dogs and was active in the local music community.
Rose Arline Beebe, 89, peacefully journeyed home September 8, 2012 at Legacy Heights Memory Care in Charlotte, NC. Born in Oto, Iowa in 1923, she was the daughter of the late Kizzie Petersen and Lee Dolan.
Service for Wanda Ellen Heffner, 45, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Wildwood Worship Center, Elgin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be to the American Cancer Society.
Cora Belle Lee Keys of 1706 Kennedy Dr., Camden, SC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Kershaw Health Medical Center. She was born on May 17, 1937, the daughter of the late Ella Belle Lewis Lee and Heyward Lee, Sr.
