Jacqueline "Jacky" M. James passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in Brockenhurst, England. She is survived by her mother, Barbara James of Brockenhurst and brother Mike James of London. Jacky was born on June 14, 1952 in England. She came to the United States in the late '70s to work for Ashwell Stables. Jonathan Sheppard said, "We had a very strong stable. Jacky was an integral part of it and was closely associated with two Grade 1 fillies, Trevita and First Approach."
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Hugh J. " Ump Dad" Johnson, Jr., 86, of Camden, will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. Rev. Steve Patterson and Rev. David Weaver will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites. Deacon Harvin Gilbert Grant a resident of Rembert, South Carolina died peacefully on March 24, 2013. Deacon Grant was born on December 31, 1952 in Sumter County, South Carolina. Captain Fredrick Eugene Perrill, SC, USN, (RET) passed away on March 21, 2013. Born in Charlotte, NC, on September 11, 1939, he attended schools in Long Island, NY, and Riverside Military Academy before graduating from Rock Hill High School.
