House fire closes Wildwood Lane in Lugoff

A house fire in Lugoff near the intersection of Richardson Boulevard and Wildwood Lane closed down Wildwood Lane for about two and a half hours Tuesday night.

Back to school means back to work for KCSO dog Elsa

While school went back in session in Kershaw County this week, it was back to work for Elsa, a Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) K-9 and her handler, Sgt. Mike Lyons. Lyons is the supervisor for the KCSO's school resource officers (SROs). Elsa is a 2-year-old German Shepherd donated to the KCSO by Beverly Conley of Blythewood in December 2013.

Lugoff Fire-Rescue receives $350,588 FEMA grant

KCSO bloodhound team locates missing 84-year-old man

The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) bloodhound team located a missing elderly Cassatt man near his home Sunday. According to a KCSO press release, deputies were notified around 11 a.m. of the 84-year-old man's disappearance. They also learned he suffered from health problems.
