Camden man charged with firing shots into home

Camden Police Department (CPD) officers arrested Raheem Kawon Fuller, 28, of Arnett Drive in east Camden, for allegedly firing at least five rounds into a Court Street home around 10 p.m. Monday. No one was injured, according to the CPD report.

Man arrested following knife assault

On Sept. 20, Kershaw County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Jacob Elary Allred, 34, of Longleaf Drive, Elgin, and charged him with assault and battery first degree after he cut a man following an argument.

Fifth Circuit Solicitor indicted on federal fraud charges

South Carolina's U.S. District Attorney announced Tuesday that a grand jury has indicted outgoing Fifth Circuit Solicitor Dan Johnson, 49, and his director of communications, Nicole Holland, 49, on 26 counts of wire and mail fraud, conspiracy to commit both and the theft of federal funds.

Thomas Brock, 51, of Camden, pleaded guilty Aug. 28 to one of 18 counts filed against him by the U.S. government related to allegations he and several co-conspirators committed fraud to obtain nearly $350 million worth of federal construction contracts.

A head-on collision on Fort Jackson Road (S.C. 12) where White Pond Road becomes Porter Cross Road resulted in the deaths of a young couple early Sunday morning. According to the S.C.
