Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews credits an alert deputy, Crimestoppers, a citizen tip and the Richland County Sheriff's Department Fugitive Task Force with identifying and arresting Torance Lamar Peoples (21) who was wanted by the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office for a string of home burglaries. The arrest took place in Richland County on Tuesday.

Patrol cars struck during chase; two arrested

CMA hazing trial continues in Columbia

In the trial's first days, attorneys for a former cadet have brought forward testimony and evidence they say show that, in 2008, other CMA students raped the then 13-year-old boy, according to news reports.
