A June 14 house fire on Wildwood Lane in Lugoff was so intense, thick smoke rising from the roof could be seen as far away as I-20 near the Lee County line. The fire damaged 80 percent of the home, according to a Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) press release.
