The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) arrested two Elgin men Wednesday after they allegedly stole $5,000 worth of aluminum pipes from the INVISTA plant in Lugoff.

The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) is cracking down on sex offenders, specifically those who are failing to register or update the sheriff's office on their whereabouts. The KCSO is responsible for keeping tabs on all registered sex offenders in the county. There are currently 144 active sex offenders in the county, mostly men. As part of the monitoring, each offender is required to report to the KCSO. Depending on their convicted offenses, they may have to report annually, semi-annually or quarterly.
