Lugoff-Elgin High School's TV production class set the stage for its Thanksgiving show with a feast prepared by the students. Students enjoyed turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie and set the table with place cards. The traditional scene of friends gathered around a bountiful table created the backdrop for L-ETV's Thanksgiving week newscasts. Students involved in the filming are Thomas Barrett, Rachel Zigila, Tessa Blevins, Zach Hellman, Chris Gibson, Ryan Hinson, Case Horton, Brandon Rose, Dustin Hill, Jarkese Rodriguez and Steven Fogle. Derek Berry teaches the class.

Students of the Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC) collected a record 1,004 jars of peanut butter during Red Ribbon Week in October as a part of ATEC's annual project to benefit the food bank of Christian Community Ministries. Students were asked to bring in jars of peanut butter. The goal was 1,000 jars. Last year students contributed 907 jars. Students in the protective services, cosmetology and practical nursing programs collected the most jars and earned a movie and popcorn day in the auditorium.
