Lugoff native shines in law school competition

Lugoff native Mandy Pittman, a second-year law student at the University of South Carolina School of Law, tied for fourth place out of 50 students during a recent mock trial competition. Because of her high ranking, Pittman was one of only a few second-year students chosen to participate in a mock trial competition to be held this spring in Montgomery, Ala.

Fired up about learning

Students Rebecca Nelson, Abby Bounsavath, Kaitlin Rios, Mackenzie Nelson, Grayson Jeffords, Randall Brown and Cody Nelson -- fourth-graders in Carol Bowling's class at Wateree Elementary School -- recently shared an adventure.
