Central Carolina Technical College President Dr. Tim Hardee has announced the Spring 2012 student honors lists. This term, 681 students have been honored, including 161 residents of Kershaw County.

Local Lander University students earn academic honors

Lander University recently announced its President's List, Dean's List and Freshman Honors for fall semester 2011. Undergraduates who have earned a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 out of a possible 4.0 are on the President's List. Those with a GPA of 3.5 to 3.9 are on the Dean's List, while freshmen with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 earn Freshman Honors.

Extra funds may alleviate KCSD staffing issues

Kappa Alpha Psi Beautillion Saturday

The first Camden Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Beautillion will be held Saturday in Camden High School's (CHS) auditorium Saturday. The Beautillion will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a reception. During the program, young men who have completed Kappa League -- the fraternity's leadership program -- will be presented to their parents, friends, teachers and other invited guests.
