Morgan's contract extended to 2016

Kershaw County School District (KCSD) Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan's contract has been extended an additional two years. The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees on Tuesday approved extending the contract from June 30, 2014, to June 30, 2016. The 7-2 vote, with trustees Nissary Wood and Dr. Don Copley opposed, followed an executive session.

Students began the project in the library media center researching a specific topic from the 1700s. Each student created a newspaper with their topics being the focus of the front page.
