Hawthorne Pharmacy has launched a new drug take-back program to help patients safely dispose of medicines that may be dangerous to others and the environment.

KH to create lithotripsy center
KershawHealth trustees unanimously approved a $126,000 project to convert one of the older operating rooms into a lithotripsy center. Lithotripsy uses non-invasive shock waves to crush kidney stones. The vote came during a KershawHealth Board of Trustees meeting Monday evening.

N.C. philanthropist to be speaker for Baruch Society members' dinner
The third annual Baruch Society Members' Dinner is scheduled for Thursday at The National Steeplechase Museum in Camden. The Baruch Society was established in 2008 by the Hospital Foundation to recognize and thank its faithful supporters. Those making an annual contribution of $1,000 or more since the last dinner receive an invitation to attend the annual members' dinner.
