KershawHealth maintains positive bond rating, outlook
While the United States' bond rating has been lowered and the outlook for the non-profit health care segment is bleak, KershawHealth has maintained its investment-grade bond rating. Standard and Poor's has reaffirmed the health care system's "BBB" rating, and Fitch has reaffirmed its "BBB+" rating. Both ratings indicated the outlook for KershawHealth is stable.

KershawHealth moving to software reporting systems

KershawHealth Foundation, racing association fund lithotripter center
Last year the KershawHealth Foundation made a grant of $210,000 for the purchase of a lithotripter, which uses sound waves to break up kidney stones into tiny pieces that are easily passed. This grant, along with $90,000 from the Carolina Cup Racing Association, which annually provides funding to KershawHealth from the running of the Carolina and Colonial Cups, made the purchase possible.
KershawHealth to explore Palmetto Health collaboration
The KershawHealth Board of Trustees unanimously passed a motion last week authorizing the organization's CEO to enter into a non-exclusive letter of intent to explore collaboration opportunities with Palmetto Health in Columbia.
KershawHealth starts financial improvement plan
