Grateful for KershawHealth
The year 2012 was a deeply challenging one for me and my family. We faced a number of life-changing events. From the beginning of the year to the end, KershawHealth -- in various ways -- was a part of our journey. There could be no better companion for the rough road we traveled.

Guns and gun laws not the problem
Guns and gun laws are not the problem of deaths in the United States. To solve lots of our violent crimes, the whole nation has to stop ignoring the needs of mentally ill people. We, as a nation, have to stop the bullying, which I feel is the reason why lots of gangs are formed and lots of suicides and mass murders are committed.
Black Heritage and America

Memory of Christmas past
I enjoyed watching this year's Christmas parade with (Kershaw County School District Superintendent Dr.) Frank Morgan standing in front of Greenleaf Villa. Reflecting on it now, I must share with your readers the fact that there is nothing like a small town Christmas parade. Having personally participated in a more than a dozen, I can honestly speak of the joy and excitement of being in such a parade.

Lugoff Optimist Club says thanks
It's absolutely awesome! It's incredibly unbelievable! That's what your support year after year means to the Lugoff Optimist Club. Each year we send out a letter asking for your financial help in order that elementary students can attend a play that teaches a lesson that is crucial to their school years. This year's play taught a lesson on anti-bullying.
