Three-time Colonial Cup champion McDyamo and Tuscalee, champions who hold the respective records for steeplechase earnings and victories, have been elected to the Racing Hall of Fame, officials of the National Racing Museum announced on Friday.
Magical Moon, which was developed in Camden by Frank and Daphne Wooten at Frank Wooten Stables, finished second behind Ciao Bell Luna in Sunday's $150,000 Beaumont Stakes (Gr. 2) at the Keeneland Race Course.
Divine Fortune, trained in Camden by Hall of Fame member Jonathan Sheppard, jumped onto the lead immediately in Saturday's $25,000 Sandhills Cup and pulled away in the final furlong to a 2 3/4-length victory over Slip Away in the featured open allowance hurdle at the 62nd Stoneybrook Steeplechase at the Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, N.C.
Proving, once again, that he can train --- and win --- with anything which has four hooves, a mane and a halter, Hall of Fame conditioner Jonathan Sheppard picked up a rare score over timber on the undercard of Saturday's Carolina Cup.
