Confidence key to success

Confidence is the key to many things in life: fashion, decisions, sticky situations, public speaking and the list goes on. Confidence is being sure of yourself, being certain that no matter what happens you did the best you possibly could. Frankly, you can't go wrong with confidence. So when I see people walking around like they are defeated, I just want to tell them that a little confidence could completely transform their demeanor. If you act confident, soon you will be confident.

Student looks forward to graduation, final months of high school

It's crunch time! For most seniors in our county, most are experiencing the dreaded "senioritis." Students across the county, including me, are faced with many difficult decisions that will ultimately impact the rest of our lives. Decisions such as where to go to college, what to major in, whether to go straight into the work force, or joining the armed forces.

Show your Christmas spirit by sharing your blessings

Did you know that out of the 6 billion people on this planet, 2.1 billion of those people live on less than $2 a day? And out of those people, 880 million live on less than $1 a day? I didn't know that either. But when I heard those statistics, I realized a few things.

Christmas carols offer more than just a catchy tune

I love this time of the year! Riding through town, seeing the Christmas Lights, and seeing the hustle-and-bustle of holiday shopping, but most of all, I love the Christmas music. I don't know what it is about that type of music, but it seems to always put people in a better mood. After doing some reading on traditional Christmas music, I found some very interesting facts.

The importance of the Encourager

Life is a journey that was never meant to be traveled alone -- we would never make it if that were the case. We all need that someone who will never forsake us; that person that will be there until the end of the passage, through the pleasant weather and the storms. This person is what I like to title, the Encourager. These are the people that would rather face the obstacles with you, than leave you to endure life's treacherous and precarious paths on your own. Just like Frodo had Sam, we would never complete our journeys without the ...
