Absentee voting is underway throughout South Carolina, and the S.C. Election Commission wants to inform voters about associated procedures and deadlines. Voters who meet one of the qualifying reasons may cast an absentee ballot either in person or by mail.
The Republican Party is set for its "first-in-the-South" presidential primary, scheduled for Jan. 21 here in South Carolina, with all registered voters in the state, regardless of party affiliation, eligible to cast a ballot.
