Bethune council agrees to water line request

Bethune Town Council agreed to a request by residents John Dan McLaurin and Hugh Clyburn to utilize a 6-inch water line in place of an adjacent 2-inch water line in the event of trouble on the smaller line. Council agreed to the request during its Jan. 13 meeting.

Annual fireworks display

The Lake Wateree Association (LWA) and the Wateree Homeowners Association Fairfield County (WHOA) will sponosr their annual Fourth of July fireworks display on July 4 around 9:15 p.m. LWA officials said the best place to view is from Clearwater Cove Marina.
