Chamber honors legislators for support of business, technology
As AT&T announced the availability of its third generation (3G) mobile broadband network in Camden in early December, extending access for advanced mobile services, devices and feature-rich audio and video content to customers in the area, two Kershaw County legislators were recognized for their contributions toward helping such technological progress to be made.
Transport for veterans offered
Kershaw County now has a DAV/VA van to transport veterans to and from the Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia.

On Mother's Day, May 12, 2013, hospice delivered a potted flower to Luvenia Sowell. It was left on her porch, for no one was home. The family had gone to church, including Mrs. Sowell, who spent this day as she had every other Sunday -- with the Lord.
Annual fireworks display
